Google Set To Close/Shut Down Google+

Google’s social media network, Google+ is about to be closed down by Google on the 2nd of April. Google in a recent blog post of 30th January 2019 confirmed the shutting down of one their products Google+, earlier announced in December 2018. The shut down of Goole+ was “due to low usage and challenges involved in maintaining the service” so they said in the blog recent blog post. All Google+ accounts and pages will be shut by 2nd April 2019 before they begin to deleting them. If you have posts, pictures or Videos there that is not backed up on Google Drive or Photos, you should consider doing so before April 2019 as advised by Google on the blog post. Google also has posted directions on how to download an archive of your Google+ content. Should in-case you will need backups or any later on. Google+ which was launched in June 2011 is an Internet-based social network owned and managed by Google. Is was launched in a bid to challenge other social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. The attempt by Google to challenge other social media networks was a brave one but didn’t just end well for them as it supposed to, which would have helped as a social component to connect Google’s different products. Well as we have seen there is no constant WIN in life.
